From personal experience at various points in my professional life, I know what it feels like to stand at a crossroads, and I’ve learnt to watch out for directions.
After many years of working as a lawyer I have changed my career – left a dusty path behind and reached out for new horizons. I am now following my passion: I want to be a travel guide for professionals and lend a hand to people and organisations going through change.
After a number of years as a leader in Human Resources and Learning and Development and with a coaching certificate in the back, I have decided to pursue my own business – Staats Consulting – and help you change your perspective.

Throughout my career, I’ve always worked in organisations with a high-performance culture. I’ve learnt to deal with volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity and understood how important it is to adapt and play the game with ease.
As a lawyer, I laid the foundations for my listening skills – I figured out how to ask the right questions and find out more about the real challenges and needs of my clients. As a leader in the HR department of a global law firm I have learnt about the importance of aligning corporate strategic goals and personal ambitions of people.
As a systemic coach and consultant, I am applying the knowledge that I’ve collected towards challenging and supporting my clients in their personal and professional development.

Everybody sometimes struggles with communication – but, we are always able to improve. I’ve personally learnt to speak with people at all levels with consummate ease, and I’m teaching others how to elegantly master their communication challenges as well.
Great communication means truly understanding each other.
As of today, I have a clear understanding of how to stand up for myself and at the same time be mindful of others’ needs. I know how to achieve best results (e.g., in negotiations) without losing sight of common interests. And, how I manage to influence others to walk into my direction.
